Gloucester Urban Regeneration Framework
Further to our urban characterisation study of Gloucester, and the preparation of a Development Framework for the Blackfriars area of the city, we were commissioned by the Gloucester Heritage Urban Regeneration Company as part of a team to prepare a Regeneration Framework for the city. This covers the historic city centre and environs, the former railway lands and the canal corridor. Our role involved providing urban design, conservation and historic characterisation, transport and movement advice. The framework, that has now been formally adopted, includes a strategy for the development of the URC area as well as detailed strategies and proposals for key development sites supported by action plans, phasing and delivery plans.
