Ashford Development Framework
Ashford is one of the growth areas in the Government’s sustainable communities’ plan. The town will almost double in size over 30 years with the creation of 30,000 new homes together with employment and other uses. Our engineering advice for the Ashford Future UDC in founded on a transport strategy that supports sustainable travel patterns in development areas. Our top-down, multi-modal modelling approach sees our transport, masterplanning and urban design experience acting as an interface between the transport modelling and land use planning processes. Our role extended to the cost plan and action plan for implementation and has since developed further, with strategic and local advice for the town centre including the re-design of the public realm.
